Christin Stühlen, Doctoral Researcher in the Research Department Intrastate Conflict, participated as an expert at the kickoff event for the “Wortwechsel” discussion series at the Junges Staatstheater Wiesbaden on September 17, 2026.
Moderated by teacher and content creator Svenja Post, she discussed the question “Is it still worth fighting for something?” with students from the Oranienschule and the Theodor-Fliedner-Gymnasium. Against the backdrop of worldwide Gen Z protests for social justice and climate protection, the young people grappled with feelings of resignation in the face of seemingly unstoppable global crises, such as climate change.
Christin Stühlen contributed her expertise in social movement research and socio-ecological transformation to the discussion.
The event accompanied the production “Am Samstag gehen die Mädchen in den Wald und jagen Sachen in die Luft” at the Staatstheater Wiesbaden and was a collaboration with the Hessian State Agency for Civic Education.
