Hagos Niguse Sibhat is a PhD candidate and Associate Fellow at the Research Depart­ment Intrastate Conflict, with a research focus on the role of media in ethnic conflict. His research interests include politi­cal communi­cation, post-colo­nialism, human rights, peace­building, social media and social move­ments, and the political eco­nomy of media, geopolitics and media, particularly in Eastern Africa and the Red Sea region.
