Prevention Project
The Prevention Project was launched in December 2020. Led by former UN Special Rapporteur Pablo de Greiff of the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice, NYU School of Law, an international group of experts is developing a comprehensive framework of evidence-based approaches and initiatives to better prevent human rights violations and humanitarian crises. The project is designed not only to produce insight but also to transform actual prevention practices. It aims at making a significant contribution through research, conceptual clarification, and integration of expertise from different policy fields, linking knowledge from global and local arenas, all of which will feed into a structured process involving key stakeholders such as the UN and other multilateral actors.
