Places of Democracy

Through the net­work, we address the crisis of democracy and the rise of the far right, deve­loping a concept for the practical imple­mentation of Places of Democracy. The aim is to strengthen demo­cracy and enable experiences of self-efficacy at the local level. We are working on an inter­disciplinary further develop­ment of democracy promotion, combining pers­pectives from legal studies, social work, and geo­graphical conflict research.

Research findings from the project will be presented for discussion at a workshop in May 2026.
