Although there has been little research on antisemitism in digital gaming communities to date, it manifests in various forms. Antisemitic actors develop their own antisemitic games, use existing games in different ways, communicate on gaming platforms, use game references and even gamify real-world antisemitic acts.
Constantin Winklers' presentation will provide an overview of the antisemitic phenomena and actors within gaming culture and will provide insights into research showing that antisemitism is a central factor in radicalisation within the gaming sector.
