Bolivia: Election Analysis

Canning House webinar with Jonas Wolff

Presiden­tial elections are coming up in Bolivia. Following the first round of elec­tions in August, two candidates from the right are set to face off. Sena­tor Rodrigo Paz Pereira and former presi­dent Jorge ‘Tuto’ Quiroga will both be bidding to become the first presi­dent in 20 years from outside the incum­bent MAS party. 

Before the second and final round of the Bolivian presi­dential election, Canning House is assembling a panel of expert analysts in a webinar to discuss likely out­comes, the presidential candi­dates, and the political challenges facing Bolivia. Jonas Wolff will give a short input on the topic “Bolivia's political eco­nomy. Relations between govern­ments and eco­nomic elites.”
