PRIF researchers support ACONA January Boot Camp 2025

From January 13–17, PRIF researchers provided support for the January Online Boot Camp of the Arms Control Negotiation Academy (ACONA). Across seven time zones, 16 fellows discussed their policy analyses of current crises and challenges in international security policy and arms control with around 20 renowned experts. The training also included several days of immersive negotiation simulations and a high-level panel on new technologies.

PRIF, which is represented on the ACONA Executive Board by Christopher Daase, was involved in the Boot Camp with Sascha Hach as chair, Thomas Reinhold as moderator of the technology expert panel, and Timothée Hillier-Davis as special operator in program and simulation support. Frank Kuhn took part in the technology panel as a speaker.

ACONA is a pioneering program dedicated to train the next generation of leaders in arms control and international security. It enables them to develop their technical expertise and negotiation skills. The target group covers mid-career scientists and policy makers worldwide working across geopolitical boundaries.
