Patrick Flamm at the ECB-BoE Conference “Supervising Climate Risk in a Non-Linear World”

On October 14–15, PRIF Senior Researcher Patrick Flamm was invited to speak at the conference “Supervising Climate Risk in a Non-Linear World,” jointly hosted by the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Bank of England (EoB) in Frankfurt/Main, on the topic of “Climate, Conflict, and Geopolitics.”

The conference brought together practitioners from banking supervision and researchers in the fields of climate, finance, and conflict studies to jointly discuss how and when climate risks threaten financial and economic stability, and how these risks can be managed. The discussion also addressed the fact that climate derisking and the pursuit of resilience in the European context may also result in new risks in other areas or regions.
