Stefan Kroll in Conversation with the Army Technical School from Aachen

On July 14, 2026, a group of 40 members from the Bundes­wehr Army Technical School in Aachen visited PRIF to learn about the institute’s work.

In his presentation, Stefan Kroll introduced the institute, its history, and its research departments. Drawing on the annual Peace Report, he used examples to illustrate the fields of peace and conflict research. He also highlighted the institute’s commit­ment to sharing research findings with societal stake­holders.

There was great interest in the PRIF’s role in policy advisory services as well as on the development of conflict scenarios and options for conflict resolution. Last but not least, the participants discussed Bundeswehr-specific topics with Stefan Kroll, such as the new conscription law.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Educational Institute of the German Bundes­wehr Association. The Educational Institute of the German Bundes­wehr Association regularly conducts seminars on political education for members of the Bundeswehr.
