Hendrik Simon continues his research trip to Copenhagen

Directly fol­lowing his stay at the European Uni­versity Insti­tute in April 2025, Hendrik Simon will be a Visiting Fellow at the CoMMonS Research Center for Studies of Political Mobili­zation and Social Move­ments at the Depart­ment of Socio­logy at the Uni­versity of Copen­hagen in May. Hendrik Simon is traveling to Den­mark at the invi­tation of Nicole Milman-Doerr. Nicole Mil­man-Doerr is the founder and director of the CoMMonS Center and was a Visi­ting Fellow at PRIF.

As in Florence, Hendrik Simon will also be presen­ting his award-winning book “A Century of Anar­chy? War, Norma­tivity, and the Birth of Modern Inter­national Order”. He will also con­tinue his exami­nation of the topic of war legiti­mations in the past and present, which ties in with his PRIF pro­ject “War Legiti­mations and World Order Concepts” with Lothar Brock. In addition, he will be con­ducting research in Copen­hagen on cohe­sion in socio-ecological trans­formation conflicts and inter­national politi­cal socio­logy.
