On July 11th, a delegation of students from Nanjing University visited PRIF. The delegation spent the last two weeks traveling Germany to research the life of John Rabe, who saved many lives in Nanjing during World War II. At PRIF, they engaged our researchers in a discussion on remembrance culture and the practice of peace research.
Pascal Abb is a researcher at PRIF and coordinates the research group Regime Competition. His research focuses on Chinese foreign policy, the Belt and Road Initiative and Taiwan. His new book “China, Pakistan and the Belt and Road Initiative. The Experience of an Early Adopter State” was published in 2024.
