Fully Revised Course on Arms Control, Disarmament, and Non-Proliferation Now Online

We are pleased to announce the official launch of eLearning 2.0, the completely revised and updated online course on Arms Control, Disarmament, and Non-Proliferation. The course is now fully accessible at: https://nonproliferation-elearning.eu/

Given the complexities of the current global security environment, the preservation and dissemination of knowledge on arms control, disarmament, and non-proliferation remains critically important. The new eLearning 2.0 course makes a significant contribution to this goal.

The new iteration of the course features a comprehensive revision of its learning material:

  • Expert Contributions: 38 leading experts (21 female and 17 male) contributed to the 20 individual learning units.
  • New Authors and Units: Seven units were written entirely from scratch by new authors, incorporating the latest research and perspectives. Contributors include specialists from institutions such as the Uppsala University, the University of Oslo, SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute), and the Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI). All remaining units underwent substantial revisions.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Beyond the content update, the entire graphic design has been modernized. The course is now more user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing, featuring short loading times.
  • Flexible Learning Paths: Students can now choose the presentation format that best suits their learning style—video, text, and audio options are readily available. New interactive elements and optional in-depth material allow students to tailor the course to their specific needs and desired level of expertise.

Students can still obtain a basic or a comprehensive certificate upon completion. The option to complete individual learning units without tracking ensures respect for user privacy, whether the course is used for individual professional development or in a university seminar setting.

The eLearning course is operated by PRIF within the scope of its activities in the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium, funded by the European Council.
