Missile Defense Research

A group – comprised of social and natural scientists – has analysed the most important dimensions and aspects of missile defense. The focus has been on the policy-relevant analysis of American politics and the different concepts of missile defense. The “Bulletins” filter and focus an enourmous amount of easily accesible data as well as weigh and asses them on the grounds of transparent reserch criteria. On this basis, they recommend certain policies to decision-makers with the goal to familiarize politicians and important civil society members with the area of missile defense as well as to cover the impacts for Germany and Europe.

The project was finished, but the dimensions of missile defense are further analysed within the follow-on project “Academic Peace Orchestra Middle East”.
