Lecture and discussion with Simone Wisotzki on feminist foreign policy

Dr. habil. Simone Wisotzki

Feminist foreign policy shall contribute to peace, women's rights and human rights. This was decided on October 31, 2000 in UN Resolution 1325, which was adopted as part of the "Women, Peace, and Security Agenda". Through the active participation of women in German peace and security policy, the German government intends to further advance the "Women, Peace, and Security" agenda.

In her presentation, Simone Wisotzki explains what distinguishes feminist foreign policy in practice. In the following discussion, the invited guests will explore the question of how municipal work in Rüsselsheim can be connected to feminist foreign policy. The event is organized by the Women's Center Rüsselsheim, the grassroots group pax-christi Südhessen, the Peace Protection Office Rüsselsheim am Main and the Catholic Workers and Workers' Chaplaincy Südhessen.
