PRIF TOPIC: World Order Issues
Two research projects in 2024 are dedicated to current shifts in the global peace and security architecture: The PATTERN investigates what can be learned from the experiences of the Cold War in order to transform the confrontation with Russia and other major powers into regulated forms of deterrence, coexistence or cooperation. The LOEWE research group analyzes how orders contain conflicts, when and how conflicts are disenclosed and what the consequences are.
