Student Assistant (m/f/d) in the Research Deparment International Institutions

10 hours per week, for a period of half year

The Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF), based in Frankfurt am Main, deals with current conflicts and their resolution. With over 90 employees from the fields of science, administration and communication, PRIF is one of the largest peace research institutes in Germany. To strengthen our team, we are looking for the following position to be filled as soon as possible:

A student assistant (m/f/d) for 10 hours per week, for a period of half year, starting on 1 May 2026 in accordance with § 6 WissZeitVG in conjunction with § 82 HHG, with an hourly wage of €14,88 without a degree, €16.13 with a bachelor's degree or €16.48 with a master's degree.

The range of tasks includes:

  • literature review
  • data collection and visualization
  • document analysis
  • assistance in article submission and conference attendance
  • preparing for meetings

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled at a German university and are currently pursuing a master's degree in International Politics, International Institutions, Political Science, International Security, Peace and Conflict Studies, Sociology, or relevant fields
  • Good command of English (reading, writing, and oral communication)
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently
  • Proactive approach and timely communication with the supervisor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with MAXQDA is an asset (or willingness to learn)
  • High attention to detail and awareness in fact checking
